Free Entry To Western Spirit: Scottsdale's Museum of the West

This 43,000-square-foot museum offers an encyclopedia of Western art, featuring regularly changing and permanent exhibits of Western and Native American art and artifacts, entertaining events, and informative programs that bring the West’s heritage, culture and community to life. In addition to offering residents and visitors free admission to the museum, Western Spirit hosts multiple History and Stories of the Hashknife Pony Express educational seminars, held in the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust Theater/Auditorium.

Presentations throughout the week include the History of Hashknife, The West’s Most Western Town – THEN & NOW and The Summer of 1876. Please click here to learn more about historical presentations throughout Western Week.

Discover the Colorado-based artist, William Matthews, and his exhibition: Decades. Best known for depicting the remote landscapes and portraits of people inhabiting the American West, this major exhibition brings together Matthews’ most prolific plein-air watercolors. The show will also include his other mediums, such as album covers, murals, and ephemera, that pay tribute to this prominent presence in the international art world.
