Spring Training

A Giants time to be here. Arizona hosts Cactus League spring training. Fifteen major league baseball teams prepare for their upcoming season right here in the Valley. Old Town Scottsdale pledges its allegiance to only one of them, the San Francisco Giants. The Giants have played in Scottsdale Stadium for more years than our saguaros can remember. The stadium is a short walk to innumerable pre-game establishments, and fans move about in large herds – proudly wearing their orange and black Gila monster colors. This is a T-shirt and shorts weather time of year, folks. Every day is a home run and especially those afternoons you can play hooky and catch a Giants game.
