You won’t often catch us saying something sweet. We try to live a good life, and not give too much into temptation. But Old Town Scottsdale – with its colorful assortment of candy, sweets, ice cream and chocolate shops – makes it near impossible. Molasses-dipped grasshoppers were once the treat de jure on the plains. Now, there are sweets shops around every street corner, serving up all types of mouth-watering confections you couldn’t dream up a century ago. Don’t tell your little ones, but there’s enough sweets shops where you could feast all day on candy if you wanted. While that’s not something we encourage, heading to Old Town for a yummy snack is not something we discourage either.
