Sip, Snap, Sunset Photo Competition
Where is the best spot to watch the sunset in Old Town Scottsdale? As part of June Days, Old Town is launching Afterglow, a new sunset photo competition celebrating the beauty of Old Town Scottsdale and its vibrant desert sunsets! Share a photo from your favorite Old Town rooftop highlighting sunset views, skyline scenes, or the rooftop experience itself.
All throughout June, send in your photos of Old Town Scottsdale’s breathtaking sunsets for a chance to win custom prizes. Get creative; make it bold, scenic, and unforgettable.
How to participate?
- Visit an Old Town Scottsdale rooftop patio bar, restaurant or simply find a great spot to watch the sunset in Old Town Scottsdale.
- Post the photo on Instagram and / or Facebook and tag @OldTownScottsdale. Use #SipSnapSunset and #JuneDaysScottsdale.
- Submit your photo via this link beginning June 1, 2026 and through June 30, 2026.
How is the winner selected?
Three photos will be selected and the photographer will receive a custom photo package. Plus, one business will be awarded the “Best Sunset Viewing Spot” in Old Town Scottsdale.
Photos will be judged based on creativity, composition and capturing the Afterglow glimmer of Old Town Scottsdale.

Rules & Requirements
Photo requirements: Photographs must be appropriate for public display and community-focused promotional use. Entries containing political messaging, political affiliations, religious endorsements, discriminatory content, explicit material, or other inappropriate content may be disqualified. Photos must be taken in Old Town Scottsdale. If you do not have access to an online submission portal, email your entry to Tourism&[email protected] or mail a printed photo to: Tourism & Events 7447 E Indian School Road, Suite 301, Scottsdale, AZ 85251. By entering, participants certify that they are the original creator and copyright owner of the submitted photograph. You may not use AI to create or enhance your photo.
Entry requirements: Must be 18 years or older and a United States citizen to enter. Employees of the City of Scottsdale and their immediate family members may participate but are not eligible to win. Limit of 2 entries per participant. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win the contest. Photos submitted from 12:01 a.m. on June 1, 2026 – 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2026 will be eligible to win.
Assets collected: By entering the contest, participants grant the City of Scottsdale the right to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute printed and digital submitted photographs for promotional, marketing, social media, website, print, and related purposes without additional compensation or approval. Submitted photos, both digital and printed, become the property of the City of Scottsdale upon submission. Personal information collected through the contest will only be used for contest administration and city-related communications.
